Oil Spill

I just want to make a small note about the oil spill in the US and a recent oil spill in China. I know this isn’t as fun as a photoshoot or fashion, but without this world, I would not be doing the things I love.

Please take a moment to read this article about the oil spill in China. The photos are heartbreaking.

When you get a moment, take some time to sign this petition concerning the oil spill in the Gulf Coast. Sign it. Share It. Be the One.

Thank you.

On Saturday, I woke up at 5:30am. Got ready and picked up my rental car in Brooklyn Heights. Arrived at GMD’s studio at 7:30am. We loaded up, the model, documentary photographer, videographer, GMD and I all met up. Unfortunately the hairstylist cancelled due to a family emergency. We left at 8:10am and arrived at the Hempstead House, an empty mansion once owned by the Guggenheims. It was also an orphanage and owned by the navy. Kings the tv show shot in this mansion. I only knew of this show since I dated one of the guest actors. Unfortunately this show ended before his episode was aired. The make up artist met us and the process began. Shooting began at 11am, and lasted until 4pm. They were all shot in the old worn down areas such as the basement and the attic areas where the orphanage once was. It was a little scary, but the shots turned out beautifully. We arrived at GMD’s at 5:30pm, unloaded and reviewed pictures. I dropped the documentary photographer off at home in Brooklyn, but when I wanted to go return my car, I missed my turn and ended up on the Brooklyn Bridge back to Manhattan! I turned around and dropped off the car (finally!) and was picked up by a friend. He drove me home, but I left my cell in the rental car so he drove me back. I picked up my cell, went to my place, dropped off my things and had dinner at 8:30pm. He was visiting me from Philadelphia, and was passing through for one night, so I wanted to spend as much time with him as possible. I ended up going to bed at 5:30am.

I can’t wait to show you the pictures.
